Scenic Base Inspiration part 1

I like to use a lot of reference photos when painting, it helps me to see things that my non-artistic mind can't visualize on its own. And they're especially useful when building a scenic base. Seeing how moss grows on rocks, how plants over take fallen trees and man made objects, how water flows around rocks and trees. All very helpful. Recently I took a short vacation which included a trip to a botanical garden, I was able to get many great photos that can provide inspiration for fantasy and historical scenic bases. There are too many for one post so I'll break them up.
